Rikyu have been supporting Banromsai since 2010. In past, we had ” Charity bear exhibition ” and ” Fashion show work shop at Banromsai.” This time we wanted to do something new. We wanted to do both exhibition and a pop up shop for their products which are made for donation supported by NPO Banromsai Japan. And we had a special talk by Banromsai founder, Ms. Miwa Natori. Total sales and donation we earned from this event was 355,890 Baht. Thank you very much for your support and we will have again!
Starting in 1999, the Non-Profit Organization (NPO) Ban Rom Sai Japan began supporting a Chiangmai orphanage serving children affected by HIV.
It is now extending its mission to support disadvantaged people in both Thailand and Japan.
For those who don’t know about Banromsai:
NPO Ban Rom Sai Japan carries out various projects such as garment production, guesthouse rentals and organic farming. The success of these projects helps Ban Rom Sai remain independent and to run the orphanage without overly relying on donations. We also hope that these projects will be sources of employment when our children grow up. At this exhibition, we will share how our children are faring and showcase their original drawings. At this exhibition you can also purchase clothes and bags produced at our garment studio.
Ban Rom Sai is a home for children who are somehow affected with HIV and also for who have problems living with their own parents. Currently we have 30 children, between the ages of 2 to 18, and live together as “a big family”.
